I got nailed by the flu last week and am still under the weather six days later, so not much of anything has been done around here recently. However, Tsia and I were making a few final Valentines yesterday afternoon and accidentally discovered how much fun it is to watercolor paint on paper doilies.
I'm not sure what we'll do with these, but for now I'm just enjoying looking at them. Especially since that's about all the energy I have these days.
What a nice accident! Sorry you've been ill, hope your better soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!

Hope you feel better soon. Know how you feel, I had flu for three weeks before xmas . great timing! rre making little books with your daughter, we do this too but she dictates and i write then she fills in all the pictures afterwards. gives you a little 'free time' for a cup of tea while she is busy doodling....just found your blog site and am enjoying it, thanks x nicola@sugarfabrics.com
ReplyDeletele ago you were looking for new book series to start with your daughter- these are the ones I've thought of that we enjoyed....The Little House books, particularly the first two or three as Laura is much younger and the themes are more appropriate.."The Littles"...series about tiny people with tails and their adventures...also The boxcar children...the first 10 or so were written by the original author and have a great vintage touch...Katja
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to show us the new spring line? I cannot wait. I second what Katja said about the Little House books. During this blizzard (I live in Maryland), I re-read these books. My 15 year old daughter and my 13 year old son were like "really mom?!" They made me feel warm and nostalgic. They are great.
