Drop everything. Right now.

Um, WATCH THIS. Seriously. My brain has been doing cartwheels for the past 24 hours or so, ever since one of our co-op parents sent me the link. Just imagine the possibilities! Has anyone tried it? Will someone please, and tell me how it works for you? We're all going to be churning out the most adorable softies now, in no time at all! Amazing, and I just can't stopping about the possibilities. I mean, you can easily design something, change the seam to darts, elongate, widen, shrink, etc. Let me at it!

Must..finish..current..projects...

  2. Holy cow! That thing rocks! I don't even really sew plush toys, but now I'm thinking that should change.

Ohhhhh my goodness! I'm so glad that's only for Windows and I have a Mac or else I'd be forgetting everything else I need to do first!

I haven't tried it but I saw a review of it awhile back (I think on Craft's blog). You may want to do a search there to see what you can come up with!

  11. My first impression is that it's difficult to use (I did try it). With a tutor, you could probably get going.

it seems that it does have some bugs, but its a great concept. let hope the actual program doesn't cost a fortune :-)

  14. That's very funky... it looks like a more user friendly, less dimensionally accurate variation on a 3d CAD package.... very nice.

  15. That is completely awesome. Thanks for sharing! I have thought about making my own patterns but knew the geometry of it all was over my head.

Also, the accent of the speaker on the video is totally charming.

  16. WHHHAAAATTT? I can not believe it! It's incredible, and she's just letting anyone download it? It's brilliant! I don't want to sound like a nerd, but I spent years working with Maya (the 3D modeling and animation program used in most high end video games and animated movies) and the stuff this Plushie software is doing on the fly is really really tricky and complex! Bravo! Bravo! Will try soon. . .

Does anyone know how to open the program? I downloaded the zip file and unzipped all the files to a folder. But I can't find an exe file to open it.

    Thanks in advance!
