Tsia and I had ice cream and a cookie after lunch today. The ice cream was long overdue, and we had a lot to celebrate:
I've printed, trimmed, peeled, pasted, hauled, cut, folded, collated, stitched, stuffed, stuck, shopped, negotiated, schlepped, packed, and stood in line. And guess what! The patterns are shipped!
Wow, did I underestimate the time it took to get these ready. Somehow I assumed that once the instructions were written and the sketches were completed all the real work was done. Little did I know! And then you were all so enthusiastic, I ended up printing more than double my high estimate, and about seven times Todd's initial estimate. But after three trips to the post office, all the orders are on their way.
And I'm too tired to post a photograph. I really should have take one, there were so many shopping bags filled with envelopes.
I still have a number of extra patterns available, and I'll post a link for ordering just the hardware if you want extras. But right now, all I want is a nap. After I finish catching up on a few other projects, preparations for teaching, housekeeping items, etc. The work never ends, does it?
thank you so much for all your hard work! the "little simple things" take so much time and effort - don't they? i am looking forward to my pattern!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you, Liesl for all your hard work. I can't wait for my little package to arrive and to begin thinking about what fabrics to use, etc.
