Dreaming of a white (er, maybe multi-colored) Christmas...

I had grand schemes this year for all-white or all-neutral (creme, ivory, pales grey, bone) Christmas decorations, something along the lines of these photos from Marie Claire Idees. But somehow color seems to be winning:

That's okay with me; I'm just happy to get a few decorations up at all.

By the way, loving the Blogger upgrade! Just the possibility of creating categories for posts has me all excited. So please forgive me if Bloglines starts notifying you of old posts during the next few days; I may actually spend time creating categories for the archives! Because I don't have anything else to do with my time, you know...

  1. Wow, I love you stockings!

After reading your blog for several months, I just realized that you too are using blogger. Can I ask a question...How the heck did you get your own banner to show without the template banner showing as well?

  3. color is really nice too. I love the socks! I find it hard to stick to neutrals too. I wanted a "natural" beige and cream christmas but have a hard time resisting using the traditional red and green!

Stockings are gorgeous, and I love what I can see of your home. That bluish color...so lovely.
I'm with you on the whole neutral/color debate. Neutral is so photgenic and lovely, but I wonder if it ever gets boring? Maybe one year I'll try it and see.

    it's funny -
I too am drawn to those photos of lovely muted grays and browns and yet my home, while muted, is not like those pictures at all.
perhaps it is just visual appeal.

as for the new blogger - I (an old blogger) am unable to leave comments on the new blogger - unless I sign in as anonymous.

  8. Hi Sarah,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I give all credit for the blogger template revisions to my adorable and very patient husband, who tolerates my whims and alters the blog to fit my fancies. It's been a gradual process, but I recommend creating a test blog to try all changes before posting them to your real blog template. Good luck!
