Getting started

Yesterday was our beautiful, hilarious daughter's six month birthday. It's hard to believe we've reached this point already. Yes, everyone told (and tells) me how quickly the time passes. Apparently I thought this sentiment was just something people say, either to make conversation or when their own children are in high school or just got married. Sure they grow up quickly. But not my child; it doesn't happen to me that way!

All the same, I feel like I've known Little for much longer than six months. She's such an amusing, fun-loving, alert little person. And I'm looking forward to getting to know her better as she grows older and learns to do more things. Part of me can hardly wait until she can talk, draw, tell stories, play with friends. I know it will all be happening before I can comprehend it. So in the meantime I'm trying, really trying, to enjoy (almost) every minute with her.

  1. Liesl - I just had to see what the beginning was like - and Little S was just cute as a button from day one! I am so excited for the book! How quickly time flies when you have fun, or kids, or both, no?

  2. I've been thinking a lot about this first post lately and will probably write about it soon. Wasn't she a sweetie? Thanks for commenting!
