even better than wallpaper

Remember that groovy wallpaper? Well, this is even better.

Mo Willems, the well-known illustrator of many beloved children's books (we adore Knuffle Bunny), painted his dining room with chalkboard paint. Granted, chalkboard walls are best when your dad is as talented with a stick of chalk as Mo, but nonetheless...

I love it! I did the lower half of my daughter's bedroom walls in chalkboard paint but since her room has carpet it gets a little gross sometimes with the chalk dust/carpet combo...

  3. *gasp*
I've been trying to convince my husband to let me do that in our kitchen for ages. He allowed me half a wall, but I NEED more!!!

I've always thought that would be great as one wall of a kitchen. It'd solve our "started, then lost, yet another grocery list" issue.

That is very cool! I think it would be a great idea to do it lower down on the wall, though so the kids can be creative with it. One thing I always wonder though...if its in the dining room, does the chalk ever get in the food??

  7. As a kid I'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven if there'd been a room in the house painted with chalkboard paint! That is so darn clever.
